If your children or grandchildren are residents or citizens of New Zealand, you may come over and live with them using this visa option. It’s a multiple entry visa with a total duration of 3 years. You cannot stay for more than 6 months at a single stretch in the country and can live for a total of 18 months during the entire validity of the visa.

If you have a child who is a citizen or resident of New Zealand, then, with some investment, you can also become a resident of New Zealand. You would need to provide an evidence of an annual income of NZ$600,000 along with an investment of NZ$ 1 million for 4 years. Additionally, you would also require NZ$500,000 to live on.

If your student child needs care, this visa allows you to accompany them while they study here. The duration of this visa will be same as the student visa of your child.

You can use this visa option to join your adult citizen or resident child. It’s a quota-based visa and there are limited visas on offer. You will have to submit an expression of interest and meet other requirements.
